The artist

A mind that sees the world in colour.

A name, a piece of music, a remembered place: each arrives in Teddy’s mind with its own palette, and her paintings are the record of that private vision made visible.

Teddy discovered at sixteen that her way of seeing was unusual. The questions she had always asked—what colour is Wednesday; what colour are you, to me?—became the foundation of her practice. Her first synaesthetic series rendered people purely as their colours; eleven works were shown while she was still a student and ten sold.

Her exploration now includes the colour of music and places, alongside life drawing, photography, language and film. At its heart, the work celebrates individuality, empathy and connection.
