About Francesco Emanuele Ratti

I used to play already as a child with cameras sneaking them from my father after he had bought them during his usual stays in the USA or Hong Kong. Then I looked through the 35mm of a reflex for the first time when I was 17, thing that flashed me so I decided I would dedicate myself to that activity. I bought a used Yashica camera and I started taking pictures of anything, especially girlfriends and friends. During my university years I dedicated to studying cinema and plastic arts. After being employed as a photo editor and editor for a magazine, my director particularly praised me for my beautiful shots. Unfortunately, he was not very satisfied with my job, so I decided to start travelling with my Westfalia mini van and a new digital reflex. After three years and after the experience with another artist-photographer, I undertook my personal photographic career on my own printing fine art pictures and integrating even the videos in my visual experience. I’m currently working on my own as a professional photographer and filmmaker; now I’m also creating a cross-experience between cinema, music, theatre and dance (I’m also a tango and lindy-hop dancer).
